SHR (Super Hair Removal)

Latest Technology that combines Intense Pulse Light & Radio Frequency

What Is SHR Super Hair Removal?

Super hair removal (SHR) is a technology that uses heat and light energy to remove unwanted hair painlessly.

It delivers heat and light to the hair follicles in repetitive sequences at around 5-10 shot per seconds, it is better and has a faster effect in removing unwanted hair when compared to IPL.

Suitable for all type skin even on darker tones and sensitive skin.

How Does SHR Work?

Like laser hair removal, super hair removal uses pulses of light energy to permanently destroy or damage hair follicles. Super hair removal, however, adopts gentler pulses of energy at a higher frequency. This allows the skin to be heated gently, but due to the rapid pulses, energy is accumulated by the skin.

Is SHR better than laser?

When compared to traditional IPL and laser hair reduction treatments, SHR is faster, easier and and virtually pain free. Needs no numbing before the treatment unlike laser.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

In order to get the best results with SHR, one should undergo at least six to eight treatment sessions, at intervals of four weeks.

One must, however, keep in mind that success depends on the density and color of the hair and the number of individual hairs that are in the active growth phase.

What are the preparations before the treatment?

For the best results and most comfortable treatment:

  • Prior 3-4 weeks, avoid any Tanning, Suntan, Sunbeds. If your skin is tanned, the laser can burn the surface.

  • Avoid Waxing or Plucking 4-6 weeks before treatment. As these options change the hair growth cycle, the laser will not be able to catch the hair follicles on the right stage and it will not be able to reduce the hair.

  • Do not bleach your hair. The darker the hair follicles, it is easier for the laser to see them.

  • Clean the treatment area before your session.

  •  Make sure that you have between 4-6 weeks full hair growth before your first session.

  • Shave 24 hours before your laser appointment. NOT on the treatment day.

Can i still shave my hair in-between the sessions?
Yes, you can shave in between each session of laser hair removal.

During your course of treatment you can shave any hairs that may regrow.

As the hair removal sessions continue, you will notice that you won't need to shave as much as before.
